Description
This Place (4:25)
At morning’s light . . . while you’re asleep . . . I watch you ‘til you wake.
And I humbly kneel . . . to what I feel . . . and to this life that each day . . . we make.
When my heart first built its room for you . . . and our minds were still trying to meet;
In hopes you’d build your life on me . . . I laid my spirit at your feet.
If we hold each other close enough . . . we can dream each other’s dreams.
For while me in your arms and you asleep . . . Death can never be.
And we must be for eternity . . . for we own the same memories.
With me in your arms and you asleep . . . Death can never be.
My pocket holds our precious days . . . I revisit them now and again.
Peeking in to remember when . . . and making sure that they still were there.
When the threads of Time peel away . . . from Life’s short spool, it seems . . .
Our lifetime is a waterfall . . . of our children . . . our friends . . . and our dreams.
If we hold each other close enough . . . we can dream each other’s dreams.
For while me in your arms and you asleep . . . Death can never be.
And we must be for eternity . . . for we own the same memories.
With me in your arms and you asleep . . . Death can never be.
Across this lake of life we stare . . . with our minds so deep in prayer.
That we’ll always own just one smooth stone . . . and our dreams to skip us there.
We know love and friendship and “This Place” where Time is found;
And we shall be in Eternity . . . just what we are now.
If we hold each other close enough . . . we can dream each other’s dreams.
For while me in your arms and you asleep . . . Death can never be.
And we must be for eternity . . . for we own the same memories.
With me in your arms and you asleep . . . Death can never be.
And we must be for eternity . . . for we own the same memories.
With me in your arms and you asleep . . . Death can never be.
