Track 17 – Voices in the Stones

One time, I was taking a walk near Granny’s house in Tennessee and came to path that went under a stone over-hang. The wind was blowing and it made a peculiar “wooooing” sound, like someone was calling me. I looked up at the sky and noticed that the clouds were rushing by exceptionally fast, and I remembered that Granny Pearl once said that when she looked up at the clouds, she sometimes thought that her Guardian Angel, and some of her ancestors were riding on the backs of the clouds, keeping an eye on her. So, with the clouds rolling by and the wind whispering to me, I wrote this tune in my head about the voices in those stones.
