(I’m) Remembering times . . . of apple tree climbs . . . and lemonade sales for nickels and dimes;
Honey bee stings . . . and neighborhood “sings” . . . apricot fights . . . and swinging in swings.
The happy North wind is blowing my hair. I’m whirling around . . . not a fret . . . not a care.
The New York Blues . . . some old tennis shoes . . . a “Mister Fudge Bar” . . . and a bit of good news.
Piggy grunts . . . and acrobat stunts . . . Santa Claus . . . and Easter egg hunts.
Remember the gang? And the fun that we used to have? Oh, what a time it was . . . because . . .
We were feeling free . . . wherever we’d be . . .
Enjoying life with my friends and me.
Bringing home dogs and bruised up knees. Happiness lives in each of these.
A friendly grin . . . a skinned up chin . . . and life is smiling at me again.
A friendly grin . . . a skinned up chin . . . and life is smiling at me again.
